Jet Provost XN632
Jet Provost XN632 was acquired by Chetton Heritage Museum in March 2025. Good friend of the museum, Ollie Weldon originally bought the aircraft from the Birlingham collection in Pershore as a source of spares for the Jet Provost that he flys. The Birlingham collection consisted of 6 jets, located on an enthusiasts farm in Pershore. All of them were at risk of being scrapped around the end of 2024.
That was until Aviation Heritage UK project officer, Barry Love, managed to save all of the aircraft after launching a popular Facebook campaign with a go fund me account to raise the required funds.
Julian, Roy and Barry managed to take the wings of the JP and load it all onto a trailer. Once back in Chetton (including an accidental tour of Worcester town centre), the airframe was stripped of spares and assembled.
The airframe is now owned by the museum and is being restored as an outdoor exhibit by a number of volunteers.
