Throughout the year, Chetton Heritage Museum hosts a programme of open days to bring our collection and community together.

Public Event at the Museum 19th of July 2026

10.00am - 4.00pm

We are opening the museum to the public on Sunday the 19th of this month.

Feel free to pop along for a tea or coffee and have a look around. There is also the opportunity and meet our volunteers who will be working on the Jet provost.

The Rolls Royce Merlin and Harrier Jump Jet will be on display and may be started weather permitting.

Types of exhibits are: aircraft, agricultural, military, cars, bikes lorry's etc. We welcome most types of displays.

One of the main attractions is one of the only functional Harrier GR3's in the world. This will be started up at 3.15pm (TBC weather permitting!).

Hot food stand and cakes for sale

WW2 Rolls Royce Merlin Engine start up - 1.00pm

Harrier Jump Jet Start up - 2.00pm

A Harrier jump jet, a tank, a Jet Provost RAF jet, and some other aircraft will be on display outside the museum for photographs.

Visitors are welcome to bring along their bikes, cars, planes etc for a day out or to put on display. No need to book in just turn up..
